Organizers of the prestigious pageant announced on social media that candidates from Nigeria and Kenya tested positive for COVID-19.
The full post reads:
“During State's Quarantine with regular routine COVID-19 swab test there was two candidates test result turn positive which are Nigeria and Kenya.
"The Miss Grand International has follow the standard regulated guideline recommended by government together with doctor advice by moving both candidates to Piyavej Hospital for further treatment.
"The hotel applied their standard ASQ policy by sanitizing all related area including their accommodation room.
"The rest of the candidates test negative and clear from COVID-19."
The coronation night is scheduled on March 27.
The country's representative is Samantha Bernardo from Palawan.
She is now in Bangkok, Thailand.
