San Juan City offers free technical skills classes amid COVID-19 pandemic


The San Juan City government on Monday (March 1) said it will be offering free technical skills classes to its residents amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project aims to help residents land a job or earn extra income by honing their technical skills.

The technical skill classes offered by the city government are:

· Maintenance and repair of electronically-controlled domestic appliances such as washing machines, microwave ovens, electric fans, rice cookers, etc
· Maintenance and repair of audio-video equipment such as amplifiers
· Assembly of consumer electronic products and systems, such as low voltage power supplies, adaptors, chargers, mini audio amplifiers

According to the local government, the classes will be conducted at the Skills and Livelihood Training Center, 4th floor of the FilOil Flying V Center Parking Building in Pinaglabanan, San Juan City from March 8 to May 15.

Interested residents should bring three pieces of 1x1 photo with full name; any government issued ID with San Juan City proof of residence; high school diploma; and a birth or marriage certificate.
