More comfort has come to Mindanao residents in the form of the newly-concreted Purok Apostol-Tinago Road in Barangay San Jose, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the implementation of the two-lane road improvement project with a net length of 1.87 kilometer was recently completed by the DPWH South Cotabato 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO).
Villar said the upgraded road serves to boost the local agri-processing activities in Barangay San Jose by allowing faster delivery of goods to market centers in Koronadal City. The official noted that local folk earn a living by selling their agricultural products.
The newly-completed road work will also promote safety for both residents and motorists passing the area.
The P29.4-million upgrading into concrete of the Purok Apostol-Tinago Road was funded under the DPWH Infrastructure Program for fiscal year 2020.
