Ylona Garcia now with 88Rising

Ylona Garcia has joined American music collective 88Rising.

The news was confirmed by Sean Miyashiro's company, sharing a collated candid video of the 19-year-old Filipino-Australian singer.

"Welcome the wonderful Ylona Garcia to the family... good things to come," they wrote on social media tagging their sister company, Paradise Rising.

Note that Paradise Rising is the result of a joint collaboration between one of the Philippines’ telecommunications company, and 88rising, a pioneering music and media collective synonymous with elevating Asian talent from East to West.

Meanwhile, Ylona posted a photo of her on Instagram, acknowledging 88rising's post.

"Sooner than you think," she wrote as caption.

88rising manages some of the most recognizable artists who represent their Asian generation, such as Rich Brian, Joji, and NIKI.

Other popular, boundary-pushing Asian artists who have released material under the 88rising label include Rina Sawayama (“Valentine (What’s It Going To Be)”) and Yaeji (“raingurl”).
