Various online activities on “femininity and women empowerment” have been lined up by the Supreme Court (SC) in March, the “Women’s Month.”
The SC has encouraged all employees to wear purple-colored dress or shirts on Monday, March 1, to mark the start of the celebration.
In an announcement, the SC said that starting on Wednesday, March 3, there will be an online forum which will be streamed live via the Philippine Commission on Women’s Facebook page.
Also lined up in the series until March 31 is ZOOMinars for women empowerment – seminars on laws protecting women — and Quarantflick, where the participants will be treated to a free screening of “Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita.” A question and answer segment with the director, Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, will follow after the screening.
It said “the celebration of Women’s Month is a continued campaign of the SC that glorifies the contribution of women in national development and the persistent effort to empower women.”
All SC activities, the announcement also said, are attuned to this year’s International Women’s Day theme — “Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world.”
