Janno Gibbs, Kitkat dismissed from 'Happy Time'

Janno Gibbs and Kitkat's public squabble has resulted to both of them being ousted from the noontime variety show "Happy Time."

Janno made the announcement recently, citing management asked them both to "leave" the show.

The singer-actor went on to explain what really happened.

"During live TV shows, and especially during game portions, it is usual for the hosts to challenge each other with playful exchange of words or teasing remarks to create more excitement, laughter and fun for the portion," he started.

"All along, I thought that we were having an innocent, comedic banter and that she was playing along, but apparently, she had taken it personally. After she consecutively said several words against me, I was also affected and it made me react the way that I did," the veteran actor-TV host continued.

He added, "It really hurt me that even my family was dragged into this."

Despite the same, he pointed out that he kept quiet and only replied once to Kitkat's attacks, hoping the issue would simply die down.

"I have apologized to my co-host and the management of the show. I have also publicly apologized," he said.

More than anything, Janno realized he should not react so rashly in situations like that.

He has also learned to treat his co-workers with even more sensitivity.

Janno reiterated he remains grateful to Net 25 for the opportunity.

"They have treated me well. And I will miss working with my brother, Anjo."

"Happy Time" premiered late last year as headlined by Janno, Kitkat, and Anjo Yllana.
