Thirteen more barangays in Janiuay, Maasin, and Lambunao in Iloilo as well as in Tapaz in Capiz  declared the CPP-NPA-NDF as persona non-grata.

The Philippine Army’s 301st Infantry Brigade (301st IB) had previously identified the mountain barangays in these towns to have been highly influenced by the CPP and its armed wing NPA.

These barangays not only declared the CPP-NPA as persona non-grata but supporters in these areas have signed their oath of allegiance to the government and burned CPP-NPA flags.

“With the implementation the whole-of-nation approach, more people are now aware of the deceptive tactics and strategy of the CPP and NPA, particularly on their recruitment of minors, extortion, and various terrorists’ activities that victimize innocent civilians, and threatens the security and safety of peaceful communities,” said Brig. Gen. Marion Sison, 301st IB commander.
