TACLOBAN CITY – A Food Panda rider is now languishing in jail after he was caught selling shabu in this city, police said Thursday.
Police identified the suspect as Rogelio Ian Navarro, 44, of Barangay 59-A Sampaguita, this city. He suffered minor injuries after he jumped from the roof of his house in a bid to evade arrest.
Seized from him were nine sachets of shabu with an estimated market value of P30,000.
Police Major Leonides Sydiongco, acting commander of the Tacloban City Police Station 1, said the suspect is now under their custody.
Charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
