It was a bittersweet reunion for Kris Aquino and her firstborn Josh after two months of not being together. Josh has been living in Tarlac for the past two months.
And it seems that he is enjoying his stay there with his uncle, former President Benigno Aquino III. “Our probinsyano is here to visit us, visit me!” exclaimed Kris in her IGTV.
Albeit short and sweet, because Josh wanted to go back that afternoon, the video showed Kris in between her two tall sons, Josh and Bimby. She started by showing the viewers how tall her two boys are.
Then she moved on to ask Josh why he loves it in Tarlac. Fresh air was his first answer, and upon further prodding, he added that he could jog, e-bike, and ride the golf cart there.
As a mother, Kris understood very well why Josh would rather live in the "province." Josh has been staying in his late grandmother's room. The late former President Corazon Aquino took care of Josh, especially when Kris was busy working.
"So many of the working moms can understand this — if the lola was the one who went at nagpunta (sa school activities) at pinunuan ‘yung mga hindi kayang gawin nu’ng nanay na nagtatrabaho, then the lola will always be number one, and that’s fine. Because I could never have been able to raise a boy na ganito ka geneorus, ganito kabait sa lahat. Turo ng lola,” Kris proudly shares.
"If you are lucky enough, na you are still working, and you have a support system with you, appreciate that support system. If you don't, then, do your best talaga to be super present in the lives of your kids, because you will never get back their childhood."
