P748,000 worth of suspected shabu seized in Taguig buy-bust


Police seized P748,000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and arrested four persons in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Tuesday (Feb. 23).

Members of the Makati and Taguig police stations conducted the operation at about 4 p.m. at a house on Pagkalinawan Street in Bgy. Ibayo Tipas, Taguig City.

The police identified the arrested suspects as Catherine Oliveros, 29, of Bgy. Ibayo Tipas, Taguig; Ace Cruz, 38, of Bgy. Pineda, Pasig City; Mark John Grafil, 27, of Laperal Compound, Bgy. Guadalupe Viejo, Makati; and Niño Visca, 34, Bgy. Ibayo Tipas, Taguig.

Recovered from the suspects were 110 grams of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with an estimated price of P748,000.

Also seized were a motorcycle, one cell phone, digital weighing scale, pair of scissors, empty plastic sachets, and the P1,000 buy-bust money.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director Eliseo Cruz lauded the Makati and Taguig police for the successful buy-bust operation.

The police will file charges of violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, against the suspects.
