In a post on Twitter, he said that the number of daycare students in the city diminished due to the pandemic, saying before pandemic there are 6, 514 enrolled daycare students.

Pasig currently has a total of 5, 851 daycare students due to the difficulties brought about by the pandemic to learners and their parents.

The mayor vowed the city government will make sure that education of the youth in Pasig will still continue despite all odds.

“Hirap tayo dahil bawal ang face-to-face . Pero gagawin natin ang lahat para di tumigil ang edukasyon ng mga kabataan(It is difficult because there is no face-to-face classes. But we will do everything for education to continue),” said Sotto in his tweet on Tuesday (February 23).

Twitter user Axce8 commented on his tweet and commended the mayor for not putting his face on the learning materials.
Sotto, in jest, replied: “Maglagay ako ng mukha ko dyan baka drawingan lang ng mga bata ng bigote ( If I put my face on the learning items, students might just draw me a moustache)!”

For countless times, Sotto has reminded the public that the money used to buy the things that the government distributes to the people are from the taxpayers’ money, adding that the public does not owe politicians anything.
