Man killed, 6 arrested in search warrant operations in Bulacan


CAMP GENERAL ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan -- A suspect was shot dead while six others were arrested during a series of search warrant operations conducted by the Bulacan police  Saturday.

Police Col. Lawrence B. Cajipe, Bulacan police director, identified the slain suspect as Enrico Villaflores Cuare, alias "Bulog," of Barangay Sta. Rosa 1, Marilao, this province.

Based on the report from Police Lt. Col. Leandro Gutierrez, Marilao acting police chief, his men implemented a search warrant issued by Judge Albert R. Fonacier RTC Branch 76, Malolos City Bulacan 1st Vice Executive Judge, dated Feb. 19, 2021, against Cuare on Marciano St., Ysmael Village, Barangay Sta. Rosa 1.

Police said upon arrival in the area and prior to the execution of the search warrant, Cuare saw  and opened fire at them. 

Police retaliated, killing the suspect.

Recovered in the area were caliber 9mm pistol loaded with one fired cartridge case, one magazine for caliber 9mm loaded with three cartridges, one caliber .38 Armscor 202 loaded with four cartridges, one improvised 12 gauge shotgun, four caliber 9mm fired cartridge case, one aluminum foil strip with residue, one improvised aluminum pipe, one cellphone keypad, and one wristwatch.

The implementation of search warrants conducted by operatives of Angat, Baliwag, Bustos, Pulilan, San Rafael, and Sta. Maria police and 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company also resulted in the arrest of six suspects for illegal possesion of firearms and drugs.

Inventories of all recovered pieces of evidence were made in the presence of the arrested suspects, Department of Justice representative, media representative, elected barangay official, and family members of the suspects.
