The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the water levels of Davao River and its tributaries, particularly Salug, Matupe, Kiulom, Tagaulay, Sita, Dumalogdog, Simud, Ipuan, Gumitan, Upian, Kulafu, Suawan, Siao, and Tamugan Rivers are below alert level, as of 4 p.m.

The trough of Auring is forecast to bring light to moderate with any times heavy rains over the upstream of the Davao River Basin, while scattered moderate with at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms would be felt over the rest of the river basin in the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said the stretch of Cagayan de Oro River—from Talakag town to its river mouth in Macajalar Bay—and its tributaries particularly Bubunawan, Samalauan, Tamalaong, Mamala, Batang and Tagite Rivers remains below alert level, as of 5 p.m.

Water levels of the rivers will most likely remain below critical level, but breach of  its threshold levels is being not ruled out as of this time. Swelling of small rivers and creeks in the said localities is possible during the forecast period.

Based on the forecast, Cagayan de Oro City and the towns of Talakag, Baungon and Libona may experience light to moderate rains with at times heavy starting Sunday.

On the other hand, the rivers and tributaries within the Tagum-Libuganon River Basin remain below their respective alert levels as of 5 p.m.

However, PAGASA said scattered light to moderate with at times heavy rains may occur in some parts of the river basin in the next 24 hours due to Auring.

Residents living near the mountain slopes and along the sad river systems were advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods, landslides, and river floods.
