The Las Piñas City government has launched the “Kadiwa Murang Isda Selling Outlets” which aims to offer big discounts and affordable prices of fish for its residents.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the “Kadiwa Murang Isda Selling Outlets” will start on February 20 and will be held at the TS Cruz Basketball Court in Barangay Almanza Dos and Barangay Talon Singko Covered Court.
The said project is in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR)-Seafoods Kadiwa and the Philippine Development Authority (PDA)-Isda on the Go.
The mayor said that aside from offering direct discount and affordable price of fish and other seafood products to the public, the project also aims to help businessmen during this pandemic.
Aguilar said the Local Price Coordinating Council members from the City Veterinary Services Office (CVSO), City Agriculture Office (CAO), Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), and Market Operations have been conducting surprise inspection and monitoring on the price of pork and chicken at the supermarkets, groceries, and public markets.
The city government is strictly implementing the 60-day price ceiling and those who will be caught will be given show cause order or suspension of their permits.
The mayor also wanted that all meat products being sold in public markets are safe for consumption.
