'The Boy Foretold By The Stars' will have a sequel!


Casting call is ongoing for the sequel to "The Boy Foretold By The Stars."

They are now looking for an actor who will play the role of Gio, a student.

The requirements? He should be 18 years old (or looks like said age), can speak English and Tagalog fluently, and physically fit.

Interested applicants could send their resume with close up and full body photo and acting reel or 30-second video introducing themselves and their acting background to [email protected].

The deadline for submission is on Feb. 21.

Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2020 entry “The Boy Foretold By The Stars” is not just a story about two boys discovering the thrill of young romance, but a movie that celebrates the reality that love is destined for each and everyone.

This rom-com movie is a collaboration of three production outfits: The Dolly Collection, Brainstormers Lab and Clever Minds, Inc. of which one of the executive producers is actress Jodi Sta. Maria. It stars Adrian Lindayag as Dominic, and Keann Johnson as Luke, who are students in an exclusive school.

The movie is written and directed by Dolly Dulu based on a play “Ang Hangal” that Dolly wrote in college.

Note that “The Boy Foretold By The Stars” snatched 2nd Best Picture, Gender Sensitivity Award, and Best Original Theme Song awards during MMFF's Gabi ng Parangal.
