The people's safety comes first. This was the marching order of Philippine National Police (PNP) Brig. Gen. Ysmael Yu as he assumed the post of Deputy Regional Director for Administration of Police Regional Office 4A which has jurisdiction over Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon provinces.
During a command visit to the Cavite Police Provincial Office at Camp BGen. Pantaleon Garcia, Imus City, Cavite on Tuesday, Yu said that as frontliners, members of the Cavite police are responsible for everyone’s safety.
Yu emphasized the importance of administrative support for COVID-19 Task Force (ASCOTF) within the PNP, and the activation of the "Squad Concept" which is composed of five or six members of the PNP to ensure peace and order in their areas of assignment.
"Squadding will help resolve issues and concerns, morally and spiritually within themselves, among their colleagues and their families," he said.
Yu also said that police operations should follow all mandated rules and procedures.
“Life is a journey. We have to look back at ourselves. Everything that we do and decide for ourselves will affect our life and our families. Do your job, be a good person to everyone so that we will be loved and respected. Always ask the Lord’s guidance, submit yourself unto Him, accept things that you have done wrong and you will acquire new teachings and wisdom in God grace,” he said.
The Cavite police, led by its Provincial Director Col. Marlon Santos warmly welcomed Yu. The event was also highlighted by the awarding of medals to some PNP personnel.
