A total of 25,022 residents of San Juan City have already pre-registered for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine as of Tuesday, February 16.

San Juan City Mayor Francisco Zamora said this during the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the San Juan City government and public utility companies regulating the "spaghetti'"wires and dangling cables of utility companies operating in the city.
After MOA signing, Zamora and San Juan City officials went house-to-house in Brgy. Balong Bato to convince residents who are still wary of getting the COVID-19 vaccine to register for the city’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
“Personal po akong umiikot at nanghihikayat ng mga mamamayan upang magparehistro sa COVID-19 vaccine. Upang maipakita na may tiwala ako sa bakuna, nagsulat po ako kay Sec. (Francisco) Duque upang maging kauna-unahang mabakunahan dito sa San Juan (I've been going house-to-house to urge citizens to register for the COVID-19 vaccine. To show that I have trust in the vaccines, I wrote a letter to Sec. Duque for me to be the very first person to be vaccinated here in San Juan),” he said.
Zamora said the 25,022 registrants is already 29.3% of the city’s 85,400 target number of residents to be inoculated to trigger herd immunity. This is the highest percentage of registrants for the COVID-19 vaccine registration in the National Capital Region, according to the Department of Health.
