Why fix something if it ain't broken?

World champion Bren Esports retained its dominant roster for its championship-retention bid in the MPL Philippines Season 7 set to fire off next month.

Bren will still banner its core lineup composed of hyper-carry Karl Gabriel "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno, captain-support Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel, tank Allan "Lusty" Castromayor and sidelaners CJ "Ribo" Ribo and David "FlapTzy" Canon.

EJ "Ejhay"Sambrano will remain as the sixth man of the Francis "Duckeyyy" Glindro-coached team, which will seek to match Aura PH's (formerly Sunsparks) record of back-to-back MPL titles.

The black and yellow squad will also look to snare the lion's share of the whopping $120,000 (over P5.7 million) prize pool of Season 7.

Bren's final lineup for the upcoming MPL season meant that veteran tank Lusty is set for another tour duty after hinting at retirement following their historic win in the M2 Mobile Legends World Championship last month in Singapore.

The Bernard Chong-owned organization won its second MPL crown in franchise history (first as Aether Main in Season 1) when it smothered Smart Omega, 4-2, in the Season 6 grand finals last year.

Omega also kept its roster for Season 7, although it will not have its longtime coach and SEA Games-winning mentor Steven "DaleDalus" Vitug.

Aura PH (formerly Sunsparks), twice runner-up Onic PH, last season's third-placer Execration, Blacklist International, Nexplay Solid and Cignal Ultra all beefed up their respective lineups in a bid to overthrow Bren's reign.

Completing the Season 7 cast are qualifiers Work Auster Force and Laus Playbook Esports, which replaced the previous season's bottom finishers Blu Fire and BSB.
