WATCH: First episode of Bretman Rock's MTV reality show highlights Pinoy roots


Beauty influencer Bretman Rock is proud to be Filipino, making this obvious on his new show, “MTV’s Following: Bretman Rock.”

The first episode, which was uploaded on YouTube by the American cable channel, showed a glimpse of Bretman's humble beginnings.

"I'm a proud first-generation immigrant from the Philippines, but I've been living it up in Hawaii for the past 13 years," he said.

Among who joined him in the show were his cousin and personal assistant Miss K, childhood friend Larry, and sister Princess.

Note that “MTV’s Following: Bretman Rock” is an exclusive look at all aspects of the content creator’s life in Hawaii, following Bretman and his crazy crew as he navigates vlog life, new business ventures, his mom’s impending move, and the recent passing of his dad, all amidst the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, at the latter part of the show, Bretman cooked spaghetti and Igado to surprised his mom.

"I haven't been away from my mom since I moved to Hawaii. And so it's hard for me to imagine what my life would be like with my mom being an arms reach away. She worked so hard for us and now we worked hard for her."

Note that the first episode featured how in the midst of a break-up and a home remodel, the internet personality retreats to a beachside rental with his friends, where the good times are interrupted by real life family challenges.
