Two TESDA-SM KSK trainings completed


Villasis, Pangasinan - The pandemic did not dampen the enthusiasm of farmers who participated in the Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan on Sustainable Agriculture Program.

Two KSK graduation ceremonies were held in Villasis, Pangasinan and Dinalupihan, Bataan recently, in partnership with TESDA, DSWD, DA, DTI, DOT, DOST, Reotutar Farm School, D'Planer Farm School, SM Markets and SM Supermalls.

At the Reotutar’s Garden Farm School in Villasis, Pangasinan 100 participants finished the KSK training from November 11, 2020 to January 20, 2021. The TESDA-SMFI blended training ran for six weeks.  Each farmer participant was provided with farm inputs for his 100 sqm home assignment. Proceed will serve as seed capital for the next cropping.

For sustainability, stakeholders conducted entrepreneurial workshops and assistance in opening business/market opportunities, farm inputs and possible grants.

The participants took Organic Agriculture Production NCII through TESDA Course.

In Dinalupihan, Bataan, 100 trainees composed of farmers, 4Ps beneficiaries and IPs finished the training from October 28, 2020 to January 27, 2021. Project site was D’Planners Farm School, Dinalupihan, Bataan.

The challenges of the 2020 pandemic created a strong partnership with TESDA and partner agencies in providing food security and a more sustainable livelihood to 1,245 farmer scholars in Benguet, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Iloilo and Davao.
