Liza Soberano: 'Mental health is no joke,' 'Tililing' movie director responds

When the movie poster for "Tililing" was released, a lot of netizens weren't comfortable with how the movie characters portrayed those who are going through mental health issues. Tililing, in Tagalog and according to depenisyon.com, means "someone who is considered slightly insane or at times off-beat."

Actress Liza Soberano is among those who doesn't approve of the poster. "Really hoping that this movie will spread awareness and enlighten us on the struggles of dealing with mental health. But the poster? It's a no for me. Mental healthy is NOT a joke. Stop the stigma," she tweeted.

Director Daryll Yap reassures Liza and the many netizens that they will not regret watching the show. He also added that the actors who agreed to do this project knew what they were going in for, and will not go against their principles."

He ended his Facebook post by saying that once you watch the movie, you will understand why the creative team chose that title, and why the characters' tongues are out. "We are together with you in your advocacy (on mental health). Thank you."
