Anti-narcotics operatives arrested a couple employed with the agriculture office of the city government during a drug bust operation here last Monday.
Naravy Duquiatan, regional chief of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said the suspects, John Mark Tesaluna and wife Analyn Tesaluna yielded several grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride during an entrapment operation conducted by PDEA agents along Sampaguita St., this city Monday night.
Authorities said the suspects were listed as high-value drug traffickers who have been under surveillance the past months prior to their arrest.
Charges for selling illegal drugs were filed against the suspects.
City Mayor Ronnel Rivera said the suspects will be dismissed from the government service once the illegal charges against them are proven in court.
