Baron Geisler defends Liza Soberano from bashers: 'She meant well'

Many thought it unbecoming for Liza Soberano to criticize the poster of an upcoming film, opining it makes fun of people with mental health issues.

Some netizens accused her of being a "know-it-all," while others simply dismissed her as "papansin."

Surprisingly, one of the stars of the film, Baron Geisler, was only too quick to defend Liza.

Taking to social media, Baron said, “Please don’t bash Liza. Please be kind. Sometimes we get overprotective with our advocacies.

“She did not mean to look down on our poster. I believe she meant well folks. Please be kind. Masakit ma-bash naranasan natin lahat yan one way or another,” he added.

Liza appreciated Baron's efforts.

She said, “Thank you kuya Baron for the kind words and sorry if I have offended anyone.

"I’m afraid my intentions were misinterpreted. I always want the best for films that tap into mental health, so I wish this film all the best. Looking forward to seeing it.”
