73 new cases, 3 deaths due to COVID-19 recorded in Davao City

The Department of Health (DOH) Davao Center for Health Development reported on Friday, Feb.5, 73 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Davao City.

The DOH said the new cases are among the 132 new cases recorded in the region. Davao region now has a total of 2,736 active cases, of which 1,474 cases are from Davao City.

The DOH also recorded 33 new cases in Davao de Oro, 13 in Davao Oriental, nine in Davao del Norte, three in Davao del Sur, and one Davao Occidental.

Davao region has already breached the 18,000-mark in the recorded COVID-19 cases with a total of 18,027 cases. Davao City has the most number of recorded cases in the region with 11,997.

The DOH also reported five deaths on Friday, three of which are from Davao City, one from Davao del Norte and one from Davao Oriental

Davao City has a total of 567 deaths, while Davao region has recorded 730 deaths.

Meanwhile, 110 recoveries were reported in Davao City bringing to 9,956 the total number of recoveries in the city. The new recoveries comprise more than half of the total 216 recoveries recorded in the region on Friday. Davao region has recorded a total of 14,561 recoveries.
