Naic, Cavite implements earlier curfew, bans mass gathering after recording new COVID-19 cases

NAIC, Cavite - The local government unit (LGU) reverted back to stricter community quarantine measures on Wednesday (February 3) after having recorded new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases.

According to Mayor Junio C. Dualan, the municipal government will implement a 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew, an hour earlier than the 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew implemented by the Cavite Provincial Government.

Business establishments are also obliged to follow the earlier curfew hours and are ordered to require face masks and face shields among their patrons.

From February 3 to February 15, mass gatherings will be prohibited in the municipality, including Zumba and sporting events, community assemblies, religious activities, and parties.

On January 30, the LGU recorded 26 new COVID-19 cases after weeks of not having active infections.
