PCG conducts medical evacuation for Filipino cook


The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) conducted a medical evacuation for the Filipino chief cook of Panamanian-flagged vessel MV Royal Harmony in the vicinity waters of General Santos City, South Cotabato last Jan. 28.

The PCG deployed BRP Tubattaha (MRRV-401) to conduct the medical evacuation for a 55-year-old Filipino chief cook who experienced severe abdominal pain.

PCG medical personnel and MV Royal Harmony ensured the safe transport of the Filipino seafarer to Makar Wharf in General Santos City.

The Filipino chief cook was further assisted by private medical emergency workers upon his arrival and ferried him to the nearest hospital for needed medical attention.
