P900,000 shabu seized in Navotas buy-bust


Nearly P900,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized from three alleged drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Barangay North Bay Boulevard North, Navotas City before dawn Sunday.

Police identified the suspects as Rodolfo Legaspi, 39, fisherman; Glen Mark Lacson, 33; and Sandy Garcia, 41; both jobless; all residents of Navotas City.

Elements of the Navotas City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency led the operation on C4 Road at around 4:30 a.m.

According to a report, the suspects sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth P500 to a police poseur buyer, leading to their arrest.

Fifteen sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 130 grams and worth around P884,000 were seized from the suspects.

The seized pieces of evidence were brought to the Northern Police District-Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

The suspects, who are now under police custody, will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
