Tim Yap, KC Concepcion, co-revelers now off the hook?

Looks like Tim Yap and the rest of those who attended the self-proclaimed eventologist's birthday party in Baguio City recently, don't have anything to worry about anymore.

In an interview with DZMM Tuesday, city mayor Benjamin Magalong said he "understands" what happened and he and Tim have already talked about the whole brouhaha.

He added, "Sabi ko sa kanya, 'Don’t worry about it. Yung tulong mo na ginagawa sa siyudad ng Baguio, promoting, saying good things about Baguio, itinulong mo sa aming mga artist, we’re considering all of these.'"

As to guests seen without masks on at the lavish event, including his wife as with actress KC Concepcion, he explained, "Everybody was just so engrossed, was so engaged, kaya kung minsan nakakalimutan namin."

He was there too, but he made clear:

"Inimbita ho ako. Because nang nangyari po noon, prior to that, si Mr. Tim Yap and his group, nagpunta po doon sa aming art exhibit at ang dami ho nilang nabiling art, paintings...

"Alam niyo naman yung mga artist namin, local artists namin, talagang naghihikahos.

"Mabuti na ho, dumating sila. Ang dami nilang nabili, that was a Sunday, and then, tinawagan po ako if I could attend.

"That’s all, pumunta po kami doon ng wife ko to thank them."

Was he wearing a mask? "Lagi akong naka-mask."

And his wife? "Yung wife ko naman, siyempre, there would come a time na excited yung wife ko na magpa-picture.

"Yung mga iba ho doon, mga movie personalities, artista ho, si KC ho, who also committed to promote tourism sa Baguio..."

The mayor assured the issue will still be "investigated" by authorities but with what he said many now believe the whole thing will amount to nothing but mere formalities.

What do you think?
