Lone bettor from Cavite bags P20-M Lotto 6/42 jackpot


A lone bettor from Cavite won the P20,130,966.60 jackpot in the Lotto 6/42 draw last Saturday.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the winning combination was 5-2-12-26-28-4. Fifty-six bettors got five of the winning numbers for the second prize of P24,000 each.

PCSO said the winning ticket was purchased in a lotto outlet in Dasmarinas City.

The latest winner is the third millionaire this month.

A lone bettor from Gapan City, Nueva Ecija won the P34,691,773 jackpot in the Super Lotto 6/49 last Jan 3. Days later on Jan. 7, a lone bettor from Tabaco City, Albay bagged the P21,272,518.20 jackpot in the Lotto 6/42 draw.

The winner can claim his prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City and must present the winning ticket and two identification cards.

The jackpot prize has a 20 percent tax pursuant to the TRAIN Law. Prizes above P10,000 are also subject to 20 percent tax pursuant to the law.

PCSO has various initiatives such as health programs and medical assistance or services, among others. Thus, it urged the public to patronize its games so they can generate funds to provide assistance to Filipinos who are in need.

The 6/42 Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
