Many celebrities have turned to riding motorbikes of late, starting a craze of sorts with every Juan and Maria wanting to own one.
TV-movie star Richard Yap welcome the idea but with caveat.
Note, Richard has been riding motorcycles even before he became a star via "My Binondo Girl."
Among his rides is a Harley Davidson Sportster and an Indian Scout.
According to Richard, riding a motorcycle is fun but ultimately dangerous.
For those who want to take on the hobby, he suggested they enroll in a motorcycle driving course first.
"Kasi karamihan ng mga tao sa atin, 'yung riders, they go from riding a bicycle directly to driving a motorcycle. Iba ang bisikleta, iba rin ang motor," he shared via "Sarap, 'Di Ba?"
"Kasi ang motor may makina, so you have to take into account the power of a motorcycle," he explained.
Richard doesn't like motorcycle riders who scrimp on protective gear.
He shared, "I've seen a lot of riders na ang ginagamit nila 'yung helmet pang-skateboard, which is not going to help you at all. Maraming nahuhulog sa motor, 'yun ang gamit, hindi sila napoprotektahan."
He went on to paint an all-too graphic picture of possible consequence.
"Kapag sumemplang kayo, naka-tsinelas kayo, tocino lahat ng skin niyo. We don't want that to happen," he said.
