Arrival honors were held by members of the Philippine Air Force at Tactical Operations Wing West during his arrival aboard military aircraft.

Caabay, co-pilot of Lt. Col. Arnie Arroyo, among the fatalities of the chopper crash, is an Army officer and graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Alab Tala Class of 2018.

According to his cousin Irene Lhea Lagrada, they are proud of the achievements of Caabay, also as "Diit" in the family.
