Vice President Leni Robredo met Australian Ambassador Steven James Robinson last Friday and discussed how Manila and Canberra can foster closer bilaterial relations.
The two leaders held their private meeting at the Australian ambassador’s residence in Forbes Park, Makati City.
Robinson hosted a lunch reception for Robredo and Office of the Vice President (OVP) chief-of-staff Undersecretary Philip Francisco Dy.
This was the second time he had a meeting with Robredo who shared their photos in her personal Facebook page.
“Lunch meeting with Australian Ambassador to the Philippines Steven James Robinson to discuss the many ways of strengthening our friendship and diplomatic relations with Australia,” she said.
Robinson was accompanied by Department Head of Mission Richard Sisson and Political Counsellor James Yeomans.
