Andre Paras' announcement to enter this year's Philippine Basketball Association's (PBA) rookie draft surprised fans.
Although it couldn't be denied that basketball is in his blood (his father, Benjie Paras, isa PBA legend, while his brother, Kobe, is already a basketball legend-in-the-making), Andre has already made inroads as an actor-TV host and many are hoping he would just focus on that.
Ah, but Andre has already made up his mind.
In fact, he spent most of the ongoing lockdown doing basketball training.
"The reason why I decided to apply for that is because I'm chasing my dreams, I've always wanted to play basketball," he told "24 Oras."
Is he saying goodbye to show business?
The 25-year-old assured fans he will continue with his showbiz career but "at the same time, you're gonna see me play basketball."
He is thankful that his mother network, GMA7, is supportive of the endeavor.
