PBA stars Joe Devance and Sol Mercado, former teammates in Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, spent their vacation with a mini-reunion at the island of Boracay.

The Devance family, led by Joe himself, invited Mercado for a vacation trip down south as the PBA is still on a break, with April set as the target date for the opening of the 46th Season.

The Devances and Mercado, accompanied by few friends, stayed at the Crimson Resort and Spa where they enjoyed feasting over good food and the refreshing scenery.

Before heading out to Boracay, Devance and his family along with Mercado, underwent swab testing at the San Miguel Corporation while observing proper safety health protocols.

Prior to their trip, Joe also surprised his wife Monica in celebration of their 13th anniversary as seen on his vlogs on Youtube.

Devance and Mercado both played for Ginebra from 2015 and have won three championships as teammates.

Mercado, however, was traded to the NorthPort Batang Pier by Ginebra along with Kevin Ferrer and Jervy Cruz in exchange for Stanley Pringle in 2019. The combo guard remains a free agent after negotiations with Phoenix bogged down and eventually failed to reach a final deal.

Devance, for his part, bagged another title with Ginebra, his 11th overall, in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup.
