In a statement, the local government unit (LGU) of Nabunturan said five residents were evacuated and are currently staying with their relatives after they received a report of a landslide incident in Purok 4 in the said barangay.

The 24/7 Radio Room/Dispatch of the local government was informed that a resident has not yet evacuated following the landslide incident.

Members of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office - Nabunturan Emergency Response Team (MDRRMO-NERT) sent a team from the Collapsed-Structure Search and Rescue Unit (CSSRU) to respond to the report.

There was no resident trapped in the affected house contrary to the report but a person with disability lives near the area where the landslide occurred. No casualty was recorded, the LGU said.

Two rooms of the said house were damaged due to the landslide prompting rescuers to evacuate the resident.

The evacuees have already been endorsed to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) for assessment.
