Brothers, wanted for murder, nabbed after 10 years in hiding


CAMP DANGWA,Benguet – After 10 years of hiding, two brothers involved in a clan war-related killing were finally captured in Upper Lubo, Tanudan, Kalinga, the Police Regional Office-Cordillera reported.

Kalinga Provincial Police Office (KPPO) Director Col. Davy Limmong, identified the fugitives as Segundo Dona-al Lingbawan, 55, a farmer; and his brother Christopher Dona-al Lingbawan, 32. Both were residents of Barangay Upper Lubo, Tanudan,  Kalinga.

Limmong said, the suspects were listed as Kalinga’s No. 7 and No 8 Top Most Wanted Person.

“The suspects are alleged to have been involved in a killing in a clan war in 2010, and have been in hiding for more than 10 years. Now, the long arm of the law caught up with them finally,” Limmong said.

He said the Tanudan Municipal Police Station, led by Lt. Joseph Marcasi, arrested the suspects at their hideout by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge  Marcelino Wacas, of Branch 25, RTC, 2nd Judicial Region, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga for the crime of murder with no bail bond recommended.
