“The NPA will not let it pass,” said Police Brig. Gen.  Rolando Miranda.

PRO-6 has received information that the NPA’s Kilusang Rehiyon-Panay (KR-Panay) is allegedly planning to conduct atrocities targeting policemen, police stations, police camps, and other vital installations.

Miranda said the planned attacks are to avenge the deaths of their alleged fellow rebels and supporters during a police raid in Iloilo and Capiz provinces on December 30, 2020.

“The raids affected their entire organization since majority of the neutralized are their strong supporters,” said Miranda.

The PRO-6 said NPA Special Partisan Unit (SPARU) hit squads have been deployed .

“It is the NPA which is actually spreading the culture of violence,” Miranda said.

He urged policemen in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces, as well as those in highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod, to be extra vigilant.
