P1-M shabu being sold in Maguindanao public market seized, two drug dealers nabbed


ILIGAN CITY -- A joint buy-bust operations by the military, police, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) resulted in the arrest of two drug personalities and seizure of P1 million worth of illegal drugs believed to be shabu in a public market in barangay Dalican, Datu Odin Sinsuat in Maguindanao on Wednesday.

Western Mindanao Command commander Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr. identified the arrested suspects as Sabir Tahir Omar, a.k.a. Bertos Taher Omar, and Enar Lumawan Bulilo, a.k.a. Jabbar."

Undercover agents bought from them five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 250 grams of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu placed inside a green backpack with an estimated market value of P1 million,” Vinluan said.

Also seized from them were bogus money amounting to P600,000, three cellular phones, wallets and identification cards, one black sling bag, and one motorcycle.

The suspects were brought to the PDEA-BARMM for the filing of cases.

1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade officer-in-charge Col. Ferdinand Lacadin said the military continues to conduct law enforcement support operations with the police and other law enforcement agencies to prevent the proliferation of illegal drugs in the province of Maguindanao.

Joint Task Force Central Commander Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy said JTF Central will continue to fulfill its mandate to end terrorism and assist its partners in deterring crimes and expediting the arrest of lawless elements.
