Artist Nicki Minaj is starting 2021 off on the most adorable note.
After reportedly giving birth to her son in September, the rapper is opening up about her experience with motherhood.
Minaj shared candid details about going into labor in a Twitter Q&A with her followers. The 38-year-old star says she was “butt naked” and fresh out of the shower when her water broke.
"I was weirdly calm and I quietly said, 'Omg, I’m about to be in labor.' He was very scared and I was laughing at him," Minaj said.
The rapper then went on to share that she was in labor “all night” and had a natural birth with epidurals.
"All they did was let me sleep until I dilated far enough to push," Minaj said. "The epidural didn’t hurt either. They numbed me up real good."
But Minaj added that while her childbirth experience went smoothly, being a new mom has struggles.
“Breastfeeding is very painful,” she said. “Pumping is, too. Women make this stuff look way too easy. Moms really superheroes.”
