Cavite records zero COVID-19 cases for the first time since ECQ

CAVITE - For the first time since the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) was first implemented here in March, 2020, the province has recorded zero case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Sunday, January 3.

Despite the good news, Governor Jonvic Remulla said it's too early to celebrate.

"Inaasahan natin na dahil sa nakaraang pagdagsa ng mga tao sa mga malls, including Christmas gatherings, inuman ng mga barkada at iba pang holiday celebrations ay maaaring dumami muli ang kaso ng COVID positive simula January 10-14 (We're expecting that because of people who went to malls in droves, including Christmas gatherings, drinking sprees, and other holiday celebrations, we could record more COVID-19 cases again starting January 10-14),"  Remulla wrote on his Facebook page.

The governor reminded his constituents to continue following health protocols to help curb the spread of COVID-19.
