Son Ye-jin declares: 'I am thankful for meeting Hyun Bin'

Korean actress Son Ye-jin personally acknowledged that she is in a relationship with actor Hyun Bin following the publication of a dating news report about them and confirmation from their respective agencies.

In an Instagram post on Jan. 1, Son Ye-jin admitted that she is dating Hyun Bin, her co-star in the hit drama “Crash Landing on You,” and said she is grateful for meeting him, whom she described as a “good person.”

“I’m thankful for being able to meet a good person and I will try to take care of it (relationship),” the actress wrote about Hyun Bin.

“Why do I feel so embarrassed to appear before you with my personal story rather than work for the first time. Hmm...um...uh… Yes it is. Haha. Um… I don’t know what to say but I think I have to say something to you. It’s too awkward and weird,” she said on posting about their relationship.

She told fans, “The love and support you give me, I always keep it in my heart.. I hope there are more good things in the new year. Be healthy.” Her Instagram post has garnered 1.4 million likes and 102,000 comments as of writing.

Korean news outlet Dispatch published a report and photos on Jan. 1 of the two stars together and stated that they have been dating for eight months.  Son Ye-jin boarded Hyun Bin’s car and the two went to a golf driving range. The report added they also played at a golf course in Gangwon province in South Korea when they had the chance.

After it came out, Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin’s respective agencies confirmed they were dating. The topics “Hyun Bin,” “CLOY” (or “Crash Landing on You”) and “BinJin” trended on Twitter.

In South Korea, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, and “Crash Landing on You” became the top two news topics while “Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin,” “Son Ye-jin,” “Hyun Bin” and “Hyun Bin age” became the top four trending search terms on the web portal Naver.

Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, who were both born in 1982 and are 38 years old, first teamed up in the movie “The Negotiation” that was released in September 2018.

“Crash Landing on You” came the following year and aired from December 2019 to February 2020.
