The number of jobless Filipinos dropped in October as businesses resumed their operations amid easing movement restrictions, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announced today.
The country’s unemployment rate in October this year was estimated at 8.7 percent, equivalent to 3.8 million Filipinos.
The latest unemployment figure is the lower than 10 percent in July and 17.6 percent in April.
However, jobless rate in October is still higher compared with 4.6 percent in the same month last year.
