Villar sets immediate relief of DPWH district engineers allegedly involved in corruption

President Duterte's order to relieve several district engineers who are allegedly involved in corruption at the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be "immediately implemented," according to Secrtaryt Mark Villar.

The secretary emphasized that "following the order of the President, the department continues to implement all possible measures to minimize corruption."

"We have a zero tolerance policy to bribery and corruption," Villar said.

During the public address, Duterte also ordered Villar to submit to him the list of all district engineers in the country, including the districts they are assigned to for a major reshuffling.

"I will reorganize the assignments. I will reshuffle all of you," Duterte said.
