Revilla makes Filipinos happy with 'Amazing Ang Pasko Christmas Giveaway' online show

The "Amazing Ang Pasko Christmas Giveaway" online show of Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla made many Filipinos happy by distributing cash prizes and livelihood packages last Dec. 19-20.

During the program aired on Facebook, Revilla distributed thousands of gadgets to students for online learning. Thousands of teachers also received laptops and cellphones for carrying out education under the new normal. Requests for continued assistance poured into Revilla's office, including those sectors who have been displaced due to the pandemic.

The "Amazing Ang Pasko Christmas Giveaway" program lasted almost four hours. On Dec.19, the event registered on social media 1,471,445 people reached; 1,309,015 engagements; 79,000 shares, 83,400 comments, 34,000 likes/heart/care and 36,500 views. On Dec. 20, there were 1,754,482 people reached; 1,407,186 engagements; 663,000 comments; 153,810 shares; 561,000 views and 53,000 likes. Revilla also gave Noche Buena goodies and livelihood packages.

Several contestants also won P100,000 each during the game portion. Revilla said that he was touched by the big number of participants during the event.

The "Wheel of Fortune Game" revealed sad stories of home viewers in dire need of hospitalization.

Apart from the cash prizes in "Wheel of Fortune Game" portion - P50,000, P40,000 and P30,000 - Revilla pledged to pay for the hospital bills of winners' sick relatives.

Tears and screams of joy from winners filled the air as viewers watched Revilla's announcement. 

In the portion called "Nochebuenamizer,"  the first 1,000 viewers to write down on Comment #AmazingAngPasko won P1,000 each.

The Christmas thanksgiving was part of Revilla's gratitude for his upcoming teleserye "Agimat Ng Agila" on GMA 7 - his first ever since he was re-elected senator.

The "Amazing Ang Pasko Christmas Giveaway" was seen live on Facebook and YouTube. It was hosted by Revilla himself, his wife-Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla, son Cavite Vice-Governor Jolo Revilla, Moymoy Palaboy and Benjie Paras.
