Actress-singer Glaiza de Castro will soon become Mrs. Rainey after she shared to her fans her engagement to Irish boyfriend David Rainey.
"Who would’ve thought I’d say yes in freezing cold weather. …it just felt right," the 32-year-old star wrote as a caption to a photo of her showing off her engagement ring with picture perfect scenery in Ireland as backdrop.
Both David and Glaiza are currently abroad celebrating holidays.
In fact, David expressed ecstasy a few days ago after they were reunited.
The comment section of Glaiza's Instagram was filled with congratulatory messages, mostly from her showbiz colleagues namely Rita Daniela, Jasmine Curtis, Maxene Magalona, Kakai Bautista, Carla Abellana, Antoinette Jadaone, Iza Calzado, Solenn Heussaff, Angelica Panganiban, and Ina Feleo.
In an interview last year, Glaiza talked about her relationship with her diving instructor bae.
Glaiza said she met David in Siargao when they stayed in the same resort.
Back then she said she was not open to dating foreigners. But things just fell into places and so she just let it be and went with the flow.
Being from different countries, Glaiza said there were “cultural differences” but no biggie.
“I was hesitant at first. Parang kasing hindi totoo, it was surreal. Basta, parang ang hirap paniwalaan. Pero na-prove naman niya na worth it naman siya," she said then. “He’s very persistent. Kahit nakikita niya ang topak ko, kahit maraming namba-bash sa kanya -- kasi may mga tao pa rin na ewan ko ba, nakakakuha siya ng hate messages, ng comments -- hindi siya affected, mas affected pa ako. Parang sinasabi niya, ‘Bakit mo naman pag-aaksayahan ng oras ang mga ganoon klaseng tao.’”
