Six Leyte towns get emergency vehicles for COVID-19 response


TACLOBAN CITY – The province of Leyte has turned-over emergency service vehicles to six towns in Leyte to be used primarily for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) response.

Leyte Governor Leopoldo Dominico L. Petilla told reporters in an interview that his office has turned over 1-unit emergency service vehicle each to the local government units (LGUS) of  Abuyog, Barugo, Julita, Burauen, Isabel, and Macarthur.

Each service vehicle costs P955,000.00 (DOH standard) and was funded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

Petilla said that the ceremonial turnover was held recently at the ground floor of Governor's office government center Candahug, Palo, Leyte and was witnessed by Leyte Provincial Administrator Atty. Edgardo Cordeño and Engr. Arvin Monge, provincial disaster risk reduction management office head.
