PLDT partners with Japan's SoftBank


PLDT Global Corporation (PGC), the international arm of PLDT Inc., partnered with  SoftBank Corp. (SoftBank) to provide internet services for small, medium, and large enterprise clients in Japan. 

Under the partnership, PLDT Global offers the Japan-based carrier’s “SmartInternet Suite Ether” for clients'needing a higher-grade internet environment for diverse work styles and evolving business areas.

The service also allows businesses to access a customer portal that helps them manage and monitor their internet service and usage.

Clients in Japan can directly connect with major telco carriers, ISPs and content providers.

“Internet connectivity is the foundation of our digital economy,"  Katrina Luna-Abelarde, President and CEO of PLDT Global pointed out.

The partnership is part of a broader PLDT Group initiative to improve customer experiences in and outside of the Philippines, she added.
