Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso led the presentation of the ambulances at the Kartilya ng Katipunan in Ermita, Manila on Monday.
He said each district hospital in the capital city will receive one ambulance.

These are Sta. Ana Hospital, Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Ospital ng Sampaloc, Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila, and Ospital ng Tondo.

Meanwhile, the six other ambulances will be put on standby for emergency use.

The Manila mayor said the ambulances can also serve residents who want to be transported back to their neighboring provinces.

The new high-end ambulances were bought in America and cost a total P300 million, Domagoso said.

First aiders who will operate the ambulances will receive professional training, he added.

To recall, the local chief executive in 2019 said they will acquire at least six ambulances for Manila.

Domagoso expressed hope that they will be able to buy additional ambulances in the future.
