Alleged drug dealer slain, P1.2-million shabu seized in Pampanga

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) Director Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. De Leon said suspect Den Will Mallari died while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

De Leon said Mallari, a resident of Barangay Calantas, Floridablanca town, succumbed to bullet wounds sustained in a shootout with police operatives who sprung a buy-bust operation against him at the Villa Barosa Subdivision in Barangay Dolores here.

The suspect died at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

De Leon said operatives of the Pampanga Police Intelligence Unit-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Bacolor Police, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 3, and City of San Fernando City Police were also able to recover 23 sachets containing shabu, which weighed about 190 grams and were estimated to be worth P1.292 million.

Also seized from Mallari were a .45-caliber pistol, a hand grenade, shabu paraphernalia, and several pieces of assorted ammunition.

 "More operations will be launched as we vow to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs here in the region," De Leon said.
