With its masterful plot, Korean movie The Call continues to stay in Netflix's top chart in the Philippines. Directed by Lee Chung-hyeon, the movie centers on two 28-year-old ladies, who talk over a cordless phone. But the thing is, the two are living in different times, 20 decades apart to be exact. Things go haywire for the two as phone calls are neglected and the truth about who they are come to light.
Among the many things cinephiles know about time in movies is to never mess with it. While we couldn't do it in real life, disrupting time and space just makes for a great film plot, leaving audiences on the edge of their seats, figuring the science of it.

Ditto
Another Korean hit, sci-fi and rom-com movie Ditto presents the story of two students attending the same school, communicating through an amateur radio. One is in 1979 the other is in 2000.
Il Mare
Set in a seaside house, Il Mare is about two characters who both live in the same house two years apart, but are able to communicate through a mysterious mailbox. An honorable mention in this list is Warner Bros. movie The Lake House, which is based on Il Mare and stars Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
Moments of Love
Director Mark Reyes crafted a romantic film featuring a photographer Marco and a daughter of a haciendero Divina who find solace with each other through an old telephone. Marco lives in the present while Divina lives in the past.
Secret (The Secret That Can Never Be Told)
In this Taiwanese film, two students from different times are connected by an old piano and a special music score.

This Japanese animated movie tells the story of a young countryside girl wishing to be a boy in Tokyo in her next life. One morning she wakes up in the body of a boy with whom she is able to communicate through notes and phone messages. But things started to get mysterious when the two decided to finally meet.
The Caller
The Caller, which inspired the movie The Call, has almost the same plot as its Korean adaptation. Two people in the same house with the same old phone started to befriend each other, until one became disturbed.
